Krasnodar, 23 January – Yug Times. Any public program is a tool of strategic planning that determines what needs to be done to achieve the goal. However, public programs are often reckoned on some long terms, and they involve the work of lots of different institutions. It’s logical that their fulfilment should be constantly monitored. This is what the regional Legislative Assembly regularly deals with.

In practice, the whole life of the Krasnodar region is based on public programs that ‘eat up’ 96% of the regional budget. Public programs encompass all spheres of life of the region. Traditionally, social sphere is a priority: in 2018, 161.4 billion roubles, or more than 70% of the entire ‘programmed’ budget, was spent to finance the programs in public health, education, social security and employment, family policy, culture and sports.

Our MPs scrupulously follow the fulfilment of the public programs. First of all, it means meetings held to listen to the reports presented by regional Ministries, when deputies advise how to relieve the risks and at the same time prevent any delays in the fulfilment of government contracts. Regional Ministries that are the coordinators of the programs every three months report on the state of fulfilment of the regional programs to the Committee on finance, budgetary, tax and economic policy and other relevant committees that inspect the efficiency of expenditure of the budget money for scheduled activities.
