Krasnodar, 21 December – Yug Times. Members of the Young Kuban Cossack League in word and deed prove their concern about the present day and the future of their native land. Our today’s interviewee is Aleksandr Agibalov, Chair of the Young Kuban Cossack League.
Q.: The year 2018 is drawing to a close, and the Young Kuban Cossack League must be reviewing the results of its activities over the year.
A.: The results of our work in 2018 will be announced in February at a session of the Coordinative Council. Meanwhile, at the end of this month we will discuss what was done over the past three months - since the last session of the Council’s headquarters.
Q.: Have you determined the best municipal branch of the League?
A.: Yes. We have 44 municipal branches, and we are going to reward those that showed the most productive work in 2018. Our champion is the Brukhovetsky municipal branch, headed by Denis Smelov.
Q.: By the end of the year, the number of the League members will have exceeded 90,000. Do you expect this figure to go further up in 2019?
A.: I think that the number of our members will increase, but what I think of is quality rather than numbers. I am pleased that the attitude of the society to Cossacks is changing - the negative stereotypes are gradually disappearing.
