Krasnodar, 11 December – Yug Times. The Krasnodar regional administration and the STIHL Group of Companies have reportedly discussed the possibility of opening of a motor tools production for agriculture and forestry in the region.

During his business meeting with STIHL co-owner Robert Mayr, Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev noted that the products made by the Company are in high demand at the Russian market and thus they are present practically in all Kuban farms. The Company’s logistics centre was opened in Kuban last September. It works successfully, and supplies products to 20 Russian regions. The total volume of investment in the complex amounted to 432.4 million roubles. In his turn, Mr. Mayr stressed that when taking the decision to open a logistics centre in Russia, his Company had to choose among several regions.

“The Krasnodar region proved to be the most advantageous from the viewpoints of well-developed transport infrastructure, and of the [local] investment law,” he explained. “This is why, if speaking of the construction of production facilities in Russia, we would have Kuban the first on the list.”
