Krasnodar, 4 December – Yug Times. Vice Governor Vasili Shvets has reportedly chaired a meeting dedicated to the preparation of the trade sector to the upcoming New Year holiday season. The attendees were police officers, supervisory agencies executives and Head of the regional Department for Consumer Sphere and Regulation of Alcohol Market Roman Kurinny.
Mr. Shvets stressed that it is important to provide the residents and the guests of the region with highquality and safe products and suppress unauthorised sales activities. “We should not neglect the safety precautions when selling pyrotechnics,” he added.
The participants of the meeting discussed the issue of Christmas trees bazaars. Altogether, the regional authorities have reportedly allocated 370 places for the New Year fairs.
“The fir sellers like the spots located close to open-air markets and residential neighbourhoods,” Mr. Kurinny explained. “Quite often, about 30% of the allocated places remained unclaimed. This is why, I suggest that the municipalities should review the locations of the bazaars – and to organise lawful and authorised points of sale in the places of last year’s unauthorised bazaars.”
