Krasnodar, 20 September – Yug Times. The Krasnodar region tops the list of Russian regions as regards the number of saved people. Currently, the average life expectancy in the region is 73.4 years, which is one of the best figures nationwide. But despite these results, the regional medicine is facing the task of extending the life expectancy to 80 years by the year 2030. Vice Governor Anna Minkova confirmed that much should be done to achieve this challenging aim.

Over the eight months of 2018, the mortality index fell by 3% as compared with the same period of 2017. “We have managed to spare about 900 human lives, which is more than elsewhere in Russia,” Ms. Minkova said. “For the first time in many years, the mortality index fell down to 12.5 per 1,000.”
