Will Russian-Japanese Peace Treaty Finally Be Signed?

Krasnodar, 19 September – Yug Times. At a session of the Eastern Economic Forum held last week in Vladivostok, the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe called Russia to finally conclude the peace treaty between Japan and Russia – 73 years after the end of WWII and 62 years after the signing of the Soviet-Japanese declaration that ceased the state of war between the two countries. According to Mr. Abe, the two countries should more trust each other and develop mutual understanding.

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin backed the proposal, and suggested that the peace treaty may be concluded by the end of this year without any preliminary conditions.
