Krasnodar, 8 June – Yug Times. The development of the mechanism of collection of the new resort fee has been completed in the Krasnodar region.
About 4,000 hotels and guesthouses are fully ready to start the experiment. Commenting on the new tax, Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev reminded that by regional law all Kuban residents were exempted from it.
– Thereby, apart from the 19 categories exempted from the tax by the federal law, we have introduced a regional privilege for local residents.
Apart from that, a number of normative and legal enactments has been developed to minimize possible risks. These are documents that regulate the procedure of maintenance of the register of resort fee operators, the reporting system, and the rules of interaction between the municipalities and the participants of the experiment.
According to Mr. Kondratiev, the expenditure of the money received from the fee will be monitored and controlled by the Public Council to be composed of members of tourist and spa associations, hoteliers, public activists and experts
