Krasnodar, 24 April – Yug Times. Last week, the Champion Sports Complex in Krasnodar played host to a session of the Coordinating Council of the Kuban Young Cossack League. The members of the youth public organizations gathered to review the results of their work and identify the growing points. Young Cossack League is a new movement initiated by Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev. The constituent congress of the movement held on September 27, 2017, announced its main objective - to promote youth education and upbringing based on the historic values of the Kuban Cossacks.
Presently, upbringing of the young generation is a priority task for the regional authorities’ policy. It is no wonder that Governor Veniamin Kondratiev pays special attention to the issue of youth movements. “We should not stay indifferent to the League that we initiated last September,” Cossack Host Ataman Nikolai Doluda stated in his speech delivered at the session. “On my side, I will not tolerate formal existence of the League. I will be insisting that atamans of Cossack communities should pay special attention to the youth - they should not only talk about the history of the Cossacks but by all means, including material ones, support the headmasters of the Cossack [secondary] schools and teachers of the Cossack classes. Currently the [Cossack] Host does have such an opportunity.”
