Krasnodar, 24 April – Yug Times. With the opening of Fashion One, the first fashion centre in southern Russia, may become a regional fashion industry capital and a ground for the ‘upbringing’ of couturiers and vogue designers. The inauguration ceremony of Fashion Once Centre took place on April 19.
The event had reportedly summoned various types of guests - businesspeople, fashion historians, designers, photographers and modeling agency top managers as well as people interested in buying fashion products made in Kuban. “When preparing to open the Centre, I spoke with no less than 500 colleagues and partners, and only one told me that the idea to open such activity did not sound reasonable,” noted Ilya Grednev, Fashion One Design Centre Director. “All the rest showed interest in the project and stated that they would like to see how it would be fulfilled.”
The designers of the Centre used the world’s experience in workspace organization. Instead of stuffy rooms and studios it has a spacious co-working, sewing cafés and common workshops. The would-be couturiers will get a chance not only to get additional practical experience but also to get to know their colleagues, exchange ideas, initiate joint projects and at once find the performers for them - apart from the couturiers, the Centre will unite photographers, stylists and visagistes.
