Krasnodar, 23 March – Yug Times. The protocol on development of Krasnodar Airport signed during the 2018 Russian Investment Forum in Sochi last February, provides for the construction of a new airport building, landside area, cargo and VIP terminals, pedestrian gallery and car park.
To fulfil the project, the general plan of city development has to be altered. The entire area of 2.6 hectares is to be reclassified from the current agricultural, production, public and commercial classes into the transport infrastructural zone.
Public hearings on the issue are scheduled for April 5, 2018. The total sum of investment in the project will amount to 11 billion roubles. The scheduled date of accomplishment is the year 2022.
“The reconstruction of Krasnodar Airport’s existing infrastructure and the construction of a new air terminal is a strategically important project for our city that will let us open a full-fledged transport hub,” noted Mr. Pervyshov.
