Krasnodar, 21 March – Yug Times. The participants of the Intourmarket 2018 exhibition recently held in Moscow have decided to use films as a means to increase the tourist flow.
Although Russian regions are currently using various means to attract film production staff - like opening of film clusters, reimbursement of expenses for film production, infrastructural support of filmmakers, etc. - such foreign experience of attraction of holidaymakers as promotion of resort areas in films remains a novelty in this country.
According to an agreement between the Kuban administration, Sputnik Vostok Production Producing Centre and one of federal TV channels, soon the Krasnodar region will become the venue of a new adventure-lyrical TV serial.
“We plan to shoot the film without spending budgetary funds, at the expense of investors [interested in] the positioning of the region’s [resort] locations,” said Khristofor Konstantinidi, Minister of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage of the Krasnodar region. “Our rich cultural and historical heritage lets us organize filmings of pictures of various genres.”
