Krasnodar, 15 March – Yug Times. 1,6 million tons of illegal alcohol products were withdrawn from circulation in the Krasnodar region last year, announced Governor Veniamin Kondratiev at a session of the regional Commission on counteraction to turnover of counterfeit alcohol. “The Krasnodar region is a vast sales market for counterfeit products — presently all products that are in high demand are being falsified,” stressed Mr. Kondratiev. “It’s not only budgetary losses but a direct threat to local people and visitors of our region.”
In his speech, Head of the regional Department for Industrial Policy Ivan Kulikov noted that currently the region is developing a special product labeling system that will make it possible to trace the entire life cycle of the product — from the place of manufacture or import until sales to the final consumer.
