Krasnodar, 6 March – Yug Times. The instant coffee production technology applied by Nestlé Kuban in Timashevsk complies with Russian and international ecological standards.
The Russian market of instant coffee is stably growing. To satisfy the demand, Nestlé has taken a decision to expand its coffee-making factory in Timashevsk by investing more than 1.5 billion roubles in the upgrading of its production facilities.
The trilateral protocol of intentions between the Krasnodar regional and Timashevsk rayon administrations and Nestlé Kuban Ltd. was reportedly signed on February 15 at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.
— Nestlé has been working in our region for thirteen years, and it has constantly been increasing the level of its production localization, — said Andrei Bader, Nestlé Director Russia and Eurasia. — The Nestlé Kuban factory is one of the largest investment projects of our company in Russia. The total amount of investment in the development of the instant coffee factory in Timashevsk has exceeded 11.5 billion roubles.A re-launch of the premium brand NESCAFÉ Gold is one of the key stages of the Company’s investment project. The Company plans to globally rejuvenate the recipe of the beverage and the design of the packaging.
The new NESCAFÉ Gold will be produced by a new technology - with addition of more finely ground (10 times finer) 100% Arabica, and it will be characterized by even a richer flavour. As for the ingredients used to produce the best-selling Nestlé Kuban, there are only two - water from artesian wells located in the factory’s campus in Timashevsk, and coffee beans imported directly from the fields. The factory in Timashevsk employs more than 1,100 people. The employees work in comfortable conditions and get competitive and stable wages. The labour turnover is less than 1% a year.
Nestlé is also known to take care of social progress of the areas where its factories are located. For instance, Nestlé has for thirteen years in a row been sponsoring the Day of the City; it takes an active part in urban landscaping.
