Krasnodar, 16 January – Yug Times. The winners of the regional qualifying stage of the WorldSkills Russia Championship have been determined in Kuban.
Krasnodar was the venue of the beginning of the contest held in the framework of the Young Professionals competition. Then the competition grounds opened in 38 vocational schools in different Kuban cities and municipalities.
This stage of the WorldSkills Championship was the initial phase of selection into the national team. Its participants had to do several competitive exercises, including role plays developed to show how they would cope with stress situations.
Altogether, over 400 young professionals took part in the regional part of the WorldSkills Russia. They competed in 62 competences.
“When their mates see them work and achieve results, it enhances the qualification level of the students and their teachers,” commented Aleksei Pelikh, Director of Armavir College of Technology and Engineering.
The winners of the regional stage will represent the Krasnodar region in the finals of the 6th National Championship of Young Professionals that will be held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
