Today the Yug Times weekly is finishing its cycle of essays about the most successful women of the Krasnodar region published within the framework of the project Heroines of Our Time.
The Krasnodar region is the country’s biggest and most important recreational area. This means that every hotel, spa or holiday house has to be duly assessed.
There are seven companies legally accredited to classify the hotels, spas and holiday houses in the Krasnodar region. One of them is the Resort Consulting, a quality appraisal centre headed by Irina Kolaiko.
Over her working biography, Irina has acquired the experience of a surveyor, coach, spa manager, and hotel startups construction and launch coordinator. The Resort Consulting, as an autonomous noncommercial organization, is specialized on the classification of hotels, other accommodation facilities and beaches.
“Our company has been accredited by the regional Ministry for Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage to carry out classifying activities, so that we are entitled to judge whether or not the hotels are worth their ‘stars’,” says Irina Kolaiko. “For the hotels and other tourist destinations, the number of stars indicates to the compliance of their services with the requirements of international quality standards. Since last January, the classification procedure has become compulsory in the Krasnodar region. Before that, we could not compel hotel owners to pass the classifying procedure.”
Irina confesses that what she likes the best in her work is the results of the training courses, seminars and master classes she holds for owners and employees of spas, hotels and restaurants.
“We teach them to become aware of their own and their customers’ needs,” explains she. “Now the problem is not a hotel or restaurant but the friendly atmosphere there and respectful and sincere attitude of its staff. If the employees are happy about their work, they will be able to create the
atmosphere of hospitality and warm welcome – and their guests will necessarily wish to visit them once again.”
Irina is a competent expert, and she is also proud of her skill to cooperate with other people, to build up a team of professionals and to show the way for further development. She likes studying and seeing others study.
