Innovative developments of the scholars of the Kuban State Technological University give answers to this and other questions important for the local business.
Since it was founded in 2015, the Engineering Centre ‘High Technologies and Food Security’ has become a unique testing ground for the current imports substitution program.
The main aim of the Centre is to commercialize academic developments and ensure stable links between scholars and ‘real’ business. The experts of the best Kuban university render methodological and practical assistance in solving all kinds of operations assignments.
The portfolio of the Engineering Centre includes implementation of several impressive projects. One of them is a legumes processing factory in Adygeisk. The factory was fully designed by experts of the Engineering Centre and built after the state-of-the-art technologies developed by scholars of the Kuban State Technological University. The total investment cost of the project reportedly ex-ceeded 95 million rubles.
“As a matter of fact, we don’t see engineering services as an end in itself in the ideology of our Centre,” says Vladimir Lobanov, President of the Kuban Technological University and the main ideologist of the Engineering Centre. “Ideally, what we want to achieve is to reduce the dependence of our agricultural companies, in particular those dealing with grain crops, upon the prices and technologies imposed by suppliers of machinery and equipment.”
