Sergei Altukhov, Vice Governor of the Krasnodar region, speaks about preparedness to the Russian Investment Forum to be held in Sochi on 27-28 February.
“The 2016 Forum appeared the most effective one for the Kuban region for all 15 years: we signed 250 contracts to the total amount of more than 760 billion rubles. But the ever growing competition among Russian regions for potential investors requires new approaches to the presentation of our investment potential.
“Being one of the country’s most investment attractive regions, Kuban has to search for the new ‘points of attraction’ for the investors, including by promoting its positive image. I am confirmed that our idea of an ‘investment restaurant’ realized during this Investment Forum will become such ‘point of attraction’ for our potential business partners.
“Today we are presenting more than 500 investment proposals to the total amount of about 270 billion rubles. The base of our investment portfolio is formed by 40 projects in such priority sectors of the regional economy as construction of new highways and processing facilities, organization of new industrial sites, etc.
