The funding will be realized within the bound of new law on development of tea industry in Krasnodar region. The specialists valued needed rate of the state support at 1,5 million rubles for one hectare. Up to this date it was 45 000 rubles for one hectare and it did not change since 1970th.
-The tea industry is really small for our country, we can even say that it is an unique industry. That is why there was no attention to it in the last 20 years. It is a miracle that Krasnodar tea has survived without state support. We have a quick remembrance of that time when eager beavers dumped gasoline from their cars to tank up the pruning shears, - told us tea planters from Sochi.
It is important to mention that nowadays any sphere of agriculture is unprofitable. A final product is out of reach for consumer without state support. That is why the instrument of subsidy is realized in all the countries. Russia is no exception to it. Stockbreeders and landowners are receiving the state support, but tea planters are left in the basket. Now funds will be appropriated for compensation of expenditure for establishing the tea plantations, purchase of working clothes, care works in plantations and purchase of special equipment.
-Tea growing has an expensive production. We need to rejuvenate plantations by cropping the tea bushes under the root every 10-12 years. We can gather the harvest from them only 3-4 years hence. An enterprise has no profit at all. That is why this industry needs the state support, otherwise the price of the tea will rise a lot. We have optimistic mood for the next season due to new law and re-count of amounts of funding, - emphasizes vice president of manufactures association of Krasnodar tea.
