Despite numerous rumours, Fedor Smolov, No. 1 athlete of FC Krasnodar and the best player of the Russian Premier League is not going to leave the club.

Last season, Smolov became the best goalscorer of the Russian championship – he scored 20 goals in 29 matches. This season also looks quite successful: he has scored 10 goals in 12 matches. No wonder that he regularly attracts much attention of a number of Russian and European football clubs. For instance, he was invited to a Chinese club. Presently, Chinese businesses invest fantastic money to the development of football in China – but the average level of the country’s national championship remains much to be deserved. Still, such ex-Petersburg players as Brazil super-striker Hulk and Belgian halfback Witsel did join Chinese football clubs – and now they make 12.5 and 25 million euros a year, consequently.

Fortunately, Smolov has managed to restrain himself from these temptations, in spite of the fact that he did have a “super-profitable offer from China” last summer. But the athlete has refused it.

Besides, Fedor Smolov is said to be actively lured by some agents from Dortmund, Germany. Unlike China, this country is known to have at least two world-class super-clubs: FC Bayern Munich, and Borussia Dortmund.
