The Federal Agency for Tourism (Rosturizm) has announced the results of the survey performed together with major national tourist operators.
The Krasnodar region topped the rating achieving 66.6% of the searches. The most popular tourist destinations for the New Year vacations were Sochi, Krasnaya Polyana, Anapa, and other Kuban resorts. The Crimean peninsula was the second most popular destination, with 24.3% searches. According to Rosturizm, the minimum price of a 5-day tour for two on the New Year vacations varied from 24.864 rubles in Yalta to 34,493 rubles in Krasnaya Polyana. Besides, according to an air-ticketing web-service, the five most frequently booked destinations for the New Year vacations were Mineralnye Vody, Sochi, St. Petersburg, Simferopol and Krasnodar.
