The decision to reschedule the next International Investment Forum in Sochi to February has both weak and strong points, Governor of Russia’s Krasnodar Region Veniamin Kondratyev told TASS, adding that it is too early to say that a final decision has been made regarding the issue.
"It (the decision on rescheduling - Yug Times) has both pluses and minuses. It is probably still early to say definitely that the forum will be moved to February as it has been decided to discuss it with all forum’s participants," he said.
Earlier a source familiar with the matter told that Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev had decided to reschedule Sochi-2017 forum from autumn to February. Particular dates will be clarified later, the source said. Later several senior officials confirmed the information that the issue is under discussion. According to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak, the idea "is attractive from the viewpoint of interests of the forum’s participants and the ability to employ the summer infrastructure in the winter time to the greatest possible extent."
