ЮГ Times. The authorities of the Krasnodar region guarantee that the investors’ money and proprietary right will be protected.
Over 2.3 trillion rubles have reportedly been invested in the Kuban economy for the past three years. In 2015 alone, the figure was 579.9 billion rubles. As concerns direct foreign investments, last year their total amount exceeded USD 1.4 billion.
Currently, there are about 900 companies with foreign capital from over 70 countries operating in the Krasnodar region. Our strategic partners are such globally renowned companies as Knauf, CLAAS, Philip Morris, Nestlé, Bonduelle, Cargill, Lafarge, Anadolu Jam, Metro, Auchan, and many others. Currently, 259 large-scale investment projects whose cost exceeds 100 million rubles each are being performed in the Krasnodar region. Their total value equals to 1.2 trillion rubles. When completed, they will create nearly 30,000 new jobs (about 9,000 have already opened). The tax revenues to municipal, regional and federal budgets are to exceed 50 billion rubles.
The investor-friendliest industries in the first half of 2016 were transport and communications, primary and secondary manufacturing, and agriculture.
“We note evidence that the investment volume has somewhat decreased as compared with previous years - it happened due to the suspension of the infrastructural mega-projects financed primarily from the federal budget,” Vice Governor Sergei Altukhov was quoted as commenting on the issue. “On the other hand, investments to the real sector of economy are growing.”
