ЮГ Times. At a meeting with Mufti Askarbiy Kardanov, Head of the Republic of Adyghea Aslan Tkhakushinov discussed the possibilities of social support of low-income Muslim citizens on the eve of Eid al-Adha and aid to complete the construction of the mosque in the village of Gaverdovsky.
This year, Eid al-Adha, the festivity marking the end of the annual Hajj to Mecca, is to be celebrated on September 12. Traditionally this day will be a non-working day in Adyghea.
“Heads of municipalities and rural settlements know well the situation in their locations, and we shall do our utmost to support the elderly and low-income citizens. I am confident that the business circles will not be standing aloof on these festive days,” said Mr. Tkhakushinov.
The construction of the mosque in Gaverdovsky begun in 2014 was another important issue discussed. By now the building has been constructed; what has to be done is to trim up the interior and do the landscaping of the adjacent territory.
