Several days ago, Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) announced the results of the examination of the authenticity of milk and sour cream selling on the market. The information caused a sharp reaction of the Kuban dairies.
Konstantin Sinetsky, Director General of Kubanmoloko, regional Association of Dairy Producers, is commenting on the news:
“All [milk] processors are very much concerned about Rosselkhzonadzor’s announcement. The Kubanmoloko Association warns the government officials that they should not accuse the whole industry of unfair consumer practices.
“The Laboratory Study Results published on Rosselkhoznadzor’s website did not contain a single fact of counterfeited milk products to have been revealed in the Krasnodar region or the Republic of Adyghea, but suchlike accusations affect the interests of our producers as well.
“Currently it is Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) that has all competence to control the quality of ready food, including milk products - and we tend to trust their data more. They stated that the share of counterfeited products never goes beyond 3 to 6%.
