That was the main conclusion of the working team set up by order of Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratiev to resolve numerous complaints sent by the local farmers insisting upon violation of their rights during the hire of the ground.
The working team is know to have been organized after several farmers from different rayons of the Krasnodar region had united to drive their tractors to Moscow protesting against illegal land expropriations.
Reportedly, the working team revealed the following systemic problem: most of the economic conflicts were based on disputes between large-scale agricultural manufacturers and newly-founded farms.
“The farmers’ problems should be resolved in a systematic way. The farmers must be confident in their future; they should work on the land rather than be involved in lawsuits – and the members of the independent working team should actively help them,” said Deputy Governor Andrei Korobka.
He also was quoted as saying about several novelties: first, the interdepartmental commission will be expanded owing to some narrow experts that will start working on concrete tasks; second, from this year the farmers will be given a possibility to get land without any auctions or biddings.
