Since 2012, the young medical doctors that have decided to relocate to a rural locality have been qualified for a million-ruble worth relocation package to be spent for accommodation.
The federal support program has really become a good incentive - over 15,000 young specialists have moved into villages for the last 4 years. In the Krasnodar region, 645 doctors went to work to local hospitals (many of them came from other Russian regions - like Nikita Kurapaev, a lab assistant from the Krylovsky Rayon Hospital, a native of the Rostov oblast.
He said that his family had been actively looking into a possibility to participate in the Provincial Doctor program: they were searching online medical forums, talking to their colleagues, etc.
The Kurapaevs have not bought a dwelling in Kuban yet, but they are taking part in the regional program aimed at the improvement of housing conditions. Within its framework, they are going to be granted an additional sum of 1.1 mn rubles.
