The Sanki toboganning-and-bobsleigh racing track built in the town of Krasnaya Polyana for the Olympic Games'2014, was insignificantly damaged by the fire that had broken out at the nearby transformer station, announced a spokesperson for the regional directorate of Russian Ministry of Emergency.

"A combustion of the transformer station abutting the racing track took place. The fire was burning in the area of 6 square metres. In a matter of minutes, the fire was put out, however the track got slight damages," the officer was quoted as saying in an interview to the Yug Times.
 
According to her, nobody had suffered from the fire that happened at night. Now the experts are inquiring into its cause.
 
The Sanki track was the venue of the toboganning and bobsleigh races of the Olympics'2014.

Tomorrow it is to host the F1 racers on the eve of Russian Grand Prix, while in 2017 the track will be hosting the world championship on bobsleigh and skeleton.
