Next week, Krasnodar will be receiving Maksim Potashev, one of the most cerebral players of the What? Where? When? intellectual game and a well-known business coach a Kaspersky’s Lab expert, who is coming to hold a seminar titled “Decision making and development of the strength of intellect.”

On the eve of his visit to Krasnodar, Mr. Potashev kindly agreed to an interview with the Yug Times.

Q.: Can you give a brief explanation why people commit mistakes?

A.: Well, usually it’s for three hours that I’ve been talking on that issue, so it would be quite hard to explain it with a single short thought. However I think that the main mistake committed when taking decisions is that people are not thinking how they are taking their decisions and what are the principles they are being guided then.

Q.: That is - it is a skill rather then theory that is important in the process of decision making?

A.: No, theory is equally important. There exists quite a serious theoretical substantiation of the correct algorithm that leads towards the right result. So one has to know and understand it. On the other hand, any theory would remain barren without practice, experience and mistakes.

A human who reasons constantly and is in the permanent search for decisions, must have their brains constantly fit and alert.
