Krasnodar, 19 August – Yug Times. Krasnodar Krai has reportedly completed the harvest of cereal and legume crops.
Farmers have harvested 11.42 million tonnes of winter wheat, barley and peas. Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratiev announced the figures on 14 August. According to him, this year's result is almost 2 million tonnes higher than last year's. Despite the challenging conditions and new pressures, farmers managed to complete the harvest with a strong result.
Winter wheat accounted for the bulk of the crop, with almost 9.5 million tonnes harvested. The governor stressed the importance of government support for agricultural producers. Kondratiev thanked the Russian Government for helping ensure farmers had sufficient fuel for the harvest. He also expressed his gratitude to farmers, breeders, combine-harvester operators, and tractor drivers for their work.
