Krasnodar, 18 September – Yug Times. Major renovation works at Sochi Gymnasium No. 6, carried out for the first time over the last 37 years, are reportedly one-third complete.

All demolition has been finished, with façade and roof installation under way alongside window fitting and the laying of gas-concrete block partitions. More than 40 workers are on site daily, and physical completion of the project stands at 33%.

“The municipal contract sets a clear deadline - November [this year]. We understand local residents’ concerns, so at the instruction of Mayor Andrei Proshunin we are monitoring the timetable and quality of the works at every stage. With all noisy and so-called ‘dirty’ demolition jobs finished, builders have now moved on to installation,” Sochi City Hall quoted Acting Head of the Construction Department Alina Golovchanskaya as saying.

Тhe overhaul, funded by three tiers of budget, costs more than 134 million roubles.
