Krasnodar, 6 June – Yug Times. Governor Veniamin Kondratiev and Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan discussed cooperation issues. The working meeting was held in Yerevan.
The Governor of the Krasnodar Region visited the Republic as part of the official delegation of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation under the leadership of the Speaker of the upper house of parliament Valentina Matvien ko.
- The Republic is an economic partner for Kuban. Our cooperation is based on the products of the agro-industrial complex. We supply sugar and confectionery products, and in return we receive fruit and vegetable processing products. We see prospects in increasing the supply of fodder, agricultural machinery and ferrous metal products. We pay attention to the historically established cultural ties. Official partnership relations have been established between Krasnodar and Yerevan, the capitals of Kuban and Armenia. And the cities of Novorossiysk and Gavar are twinned,’ noted Veniamin Kondratiev.
Kuban has the largest Armenian Diaspora in Russia, it is the sec ond largest nation in the region. Most Armenians live in Sochi, Krasnodar, Anapa, Armavir, Novorossiysk and Tuapse District.
