Krasnodar, 5 June – Yug Times. Krasnodar is set to renovate a major sewer collector that serves over 200,000 residents. The infrastructure modernisation project in the city has received approval from the federal government. One of its key components will be implemented under a programme that utilises concessional loans financed through the National Wealth Fund. The program is operated by the Territories Development Fund.

The reconstruction will target the collector running beneath Tikhoretskaya and Filatov Streets near Vostochno-Kruglikovskaya Street. This is a critical facility responsible for pumping wastewater from the northeastern and eastern neighbourhoods of the city.

The project includes laying new pipelines nearly three times the size of those installed in the late 1980s. This upgrade will significantly boost the system's capacity and ensure uninterrupted wastewater management. The total cost of the project is estimated at around 2 billion roubles, with 1.2 billion roubles coming as a loan from the National Wealth Fund.
