Krasnodar, 2 May – Yug Times. The average size of a consumer loan in the Krasnodar region has reportedly increased by 18%. According to the data for March 2025, it was 178,000 roubles, compared to 151,000 roubles in February.

«After eight months of continuous reduction, the average size of a consumer loan is growing for the second month in a row,» comments Aleksei Volkov, Marketing Director of the National Bureau of Credit Histories. «It should be noted that this growth is recorded against the background of stabilisation of the number of consumer loans granted. At the same time, the volume of consumer loans issued by banks is growing, which increases their average amount.»

In many respects, this trend can be explained by the regulatory policy of cooling the credit market, including macroprudential restrictions on the Debt Load Indicator (DLI). As a result, borrowers with high debt burdens are excluded from the lending process. At the same time, there is a serious downward trend in the number of consumer loans granted in the Russian regions, and Krasnodar region ranks high among the regions that showed the highest negative trend.
