Krasnodar, 25 April – Yug Times. Over the past five years, equipment and facilities in 118 school Kuban canteens have reportedly been upgraded. Last week, Deputy Governor Anna Minkova held a meeting on the organisation of school meals.
She wrote about it on her social media: “Issues of the organisation of school meals were discussed today at a meeting with deputy heads [of municipalities] responsible for social issues. Every day 775,000 schoolchildren dine at the region’s educational institutions. It is important that all children, without exception, are catered to the same menu with their class. And for children with various health problems a dietary therapeutic menu should be formed,” wrote Anna Minkova.
According to the deputy governor, it is necessary not only to create a high-quality food system, but also to strictly control the observance of sanitary norms and rules: the availability of medical certificates and certificates of good conduct of canteen workers, conformity of the portion size with the norm, placement of up-to-date information about the menu on school websites and in chat rooms. Anna Minkova noted that one of the key problems is the lack of specialists in school canteens, which should be solved in the near future.
