Krasnodar, 21 March – Yug Times. A considerable amount of work is required, yet salaries remain modest. Krasnodar has reportedly played host to discussions on labour protection, employment of teenagers, and remuneration.

This discussion took place during the meeting of the regional tripartite Commission on Regulation of Social and Labour Relations, which was presided over by Vice Governor Anna Minkova.

The prevailing sentiment at the meeting was that the labour market is currently experiencing a significant shortage of the workforce, and that effective measures are required to remedy this situation. The employment centres have set themselves the objective of employing 31,500 people on a permanent basis and a further 30,000 on a temporary basis this year. The total number of vacancies in the labour market is 63,600. In addition, local residents are undergoing retraining and advanced training, with over 6,000 people receiving training in 2024, as stated by Anna Minkova.

The Krasnodar region has allocated 1.1 billion roubles for the programme to promote employment this year. The programme encompasses the retraining of residents in alternative professions and the upgrading of their skills. The Krasnodar region has also implemented measures to provide financial support, including subsidies, and the Microfinance Fund has also contributed to the growth of the self-employed population, which increased by 156,000 last year.
