Krasnodar, 28 January – Yug Times. Over the past seven years, 46 lowcost sports halls have been constructed in the Kuban region.
In 2024, eight such facilities were erected in six municipalities: Slaviansk-on-Kuban, Dinskoi, Novokubansk, Krymsk, Kanevsky and Otradnensky districts.
Similar work to modernise the sports infrastructure is being carried out in all cities and districts of the region. The goal is to create conditions to increase the share of the population engaged in sports. The target set for 2030 is a 70% engagement rate.
“The development of sports infrastructure is a key priority for the regional authorities. Currently, the designs of 15 low-cost gyms in 11 districts are being developed,” commented Vice-Governor Aleksandr Vlasov.
The terms and rates of construction for low-budget sports complexes, gyms and swimming pools were discussed in a meeting convened last week by Vice Governors Aleksandr Vlasov and Aleksandr Nesterenko.
The construction of socially important sports complexes with swimming pools is underway in five municipalities: Starominsky, Temriuk, Korenovsk, Timashevsk and Belaya Glina districts.
