Krasnodar, 17 January – Yug Times. More than 20 million tourists visited Kuban in 2024.

This is a new record, and it should be remembered that the Krasnodar region took on a large resort burden due to the lower availability of foreign destinations. Traditionally, the most popular destinations for tourists remain the Sochi Mountain Cluster and the Black Sea coast. “In 2023, 18.6 million people came to our resorts, which was a historic record.

In 2024, we welcomed even more guests – 20.1 million, or 8% more. More than 8 million people came to the region as day-trippers, which was a 9% increase,” said Mikhail Zaritsky, Acting Minister of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Legacy of Krasnodar Krai.

The flow of tourists to the resorts of the Krasnodar region is increasing due to the expansion of the offer, promotion of the region's tourist potential at international congresses and exhibitions, and the development of year-round resorts. As a result, for the second year in a row, almost half of all visitors come to the region in the off-season. In 2024, there were 10.5 million tourists in the summer, and 9.6 million in the autumn, winter and spring.
