Krasnodar, 26 November – Yug Times. The Sochi city authorities will reportedly intensify their efforts to stop unauthorised construction at an early stage.
In November, the interdepartmental working group dealing with this problem was expanded. Now it includes officers of the specialised department of the Federal Bailiff Service and the Krasnodar Region Department of Construction Supervision.
"We fight against unauthorised buildings in the city systematically and consistently, thanks to which the number of revealed capital objects bearing signs of illegal construction is decreasing. In the current year, we have recorded twice fewer such cases than in the past year in the course of municipal land control. But the number of unconscious builders is still high. Permanent participants of our working group agree with this," said Sochi Mayor Andrei Proshunin.
Now in Sochi, all lawsuits for demolition, endorsed by the courts, are subject to a penalty for late execution of the decision in the amount of 50,000 roubles.
