Krasnodar, 1 October – Yug Times. The National Bureau of Credit History has revealed that Kuban banks began to significantly reduce credit card limits.
According to the Bureau's press service, the most serious reduction in the average size of credit card limits in August 2024 compared to the previous month was demonstrated by the Republic of Crimea (-9.2%), the Udmurt Republic (-4.5%), the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (-4.5%), Moscow (-4.1%), and Krasnodar Krai (-3.9%).
The Krasnodar region was not in the list of regions with the largest average size of limits. Here the leaders in August were Moscow (140,700 roubles), and St. Petersburg, Moscow Oblast and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (over 130,000 roubles). In Kuban, the average limit was only 86,800 roubles.
“In August, the average size of limits on the issued credit cards decreased for the first time since the beginning of summer,” commented NBCH Marketing Director Aleksei Volkov. “At the same time, some reduction in this figure was observed against the background of a decrease in the number of the newly issued credit cards.”
