Krasnodar, 18 August – Yug Times. Five new large schools will welcome children in Krasnodar in the coming school year.

In total, by the end of the year eleven schools will be built in the regional centre. Vice-Governor of the Krasnodar region Anna Minkova was quoted as saying that there is a trend towards increase in the number of children in the region. In 2024, the national projects will be completed, and the new schools and kindergartens will have to be built from other funding sources.

“This year we will commission nineteen schools; a number of them ahead of schedule, which is very important, because lack of school places remains an issue, especially in big cities. We are improving the qualifications of teachers, and we see that there is a shortage of staff,” said Anna Minkova.

Last week, Vice-Governor together with Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeni Naumov visited one of the schools to open in September. The facility is located in Rossiysky neighbourhood. When completed, it will help offload the two nearby schools. The school’s area is more than 22,000 square metres. It has a large assembly hall for 850 seats and a small assembly hall for 200 seats, a canteen for 750 seats, large and small gyms.
