Krasnodar, 11 December – Yug Times. Adygea has reviewed measures to combat drug abuse and the circulation of illegal substances.
Since the start of 2025, 419 drug-related offences have been recorded in the republic, 347 of them classed as serious or particularly serious. Investigators have completed 261 criminal cases, now submitted to court. Three cases involved the laundering of drug profits, with more than 2 million roubles in illicit funds uncovered. In total, 87 persons have been convicted, and around 8 kg of drugs seized.
According to the regional health ministry, 486 persons were registered with a diagnosis of drug addiction in the first nine months of 2025 — seven more than in the same period last year. A further 505 citizens were diagnosed with harmful drug use. Over the same period, the republic registered 22 first-time cases of drug addiction and 20 first-time cases of harmful drug use, including eight teenagers.
Thirty-two patients have entered rehabilitation programmes this year.
