Krasnodar, 10 September – Yug Times. More than 6 billion roubles have reportedly been allocated to towns and cities across Krasnodar Krai to prepare housing and utility services for the autumn and winter period. All major works are due to be completed by 1 October. The target was set by Governor Veniamin Kondratiev at a regional meeting.
“There is a month and a half to go before the start of the heating season, which traditionally begins in mid-October. We still have time to complete everything needed to ensure that housing and utility services are ready. All planned work to repair boiler houses, upgrade utility networks, and prepare social facilities for the heating season must be completed by 1 October,” Veniamin Kondratiev stressed. The progress of the work is being monitored by a regional interdepartmental commission.
“More than 2,100 boiler houses, 2,500 km of heating networks, 238 heat substations, 40,000 km of natural gas distribution networks, 18,000 km of water supply net works, 3,800 km of sewerage net works, and 3.3 km of electricity net works are already set for the heating season,” Deputy Governor Yevgeni Pergun reported.
