Krasnodar, 20 November – Yug Times. The supply of Kuban wine and agricultural products to China has been agreed in Shanghai.
It is planned to ship the first 15,000 bottles by the end of the month. Besides, a test batch of flax will be exported from Kuban. “The [Krasnodar] region aims to stimulate the growth of foreign trade and attract foreign investment from China. The People's Republic of China has a huge market, a well-developed industrial system and a highly competitive supply chain. During business meetings with government and business representatives, we presented Kuban's trade, economic and investment potential, discussed the development of co-operation in various spheres and issues of further promotion of the region in the ‘Middle Kingdom’,” commented Aleksandr Ruppel, Vice-Governor of Kuban, who headed the Kuban delegation.
The delegation discussed opportunities for cooperation and investment, establishing business contacts with representatives of major Chinese companies, development of joint programmes and measures to facilitate trade transactions. The members of the regional delegation learnt about the specifics of doing business and key issues of export development to China.
