Krasnodar, 18 September – Yug Times. The new four-lane Dzhubga-Sochi high-speed motorway will be a toll road.

It will serve as an alternative to the mountain serpentine that connects Sochi with the rest of the country.

“We are asking for money from the market in conditions of insufficient state funding. That is why all the roads we are building are toll roads, as we use the funds of the National Welfare Fund (NWF) for our biggest projects. This money is repayable. Money is also invested by concessionaires. In addition, we also attract a large amount of money from the market under our obligations. That is why the new motorway will be a paid turnpike,’ said Viacheslav Petushenko, Head of the Avtodor State Corporation.

A preliminary feasibility study of the motorway project has already been developed, and the construction will be carried out in stages.

“If you look at the project - from Sochi to the connection with the M-4 ‘Don’ motorway - there are seven stages in total, each of which has an independent transport significance. Therefore, we can build not the whole road in a row, but put it into operation in stages. We are currently constructing the Adler bypass,” said Viacheslav Petushenko.
