Krasnodar, 12 September – Yug Times. More than 40 new accommodation facilities will be opened in Kuban by the end of the year.

This became known at the meeting with heads of relevant departments and city mayors devoted to the results of the summer holiday season.

"The demand begets supply – so the number of hotels and inns in the region is growing. Every year the number of four- and five-star hotels and holiday homes increases," said Deputy Governor Aleksandr Ruppel.

This summer more than 10 million people, including families with children, spent their summer vacations on the Black Sea coast.

The meeting discussed the problem of switching children's camps and health centres to other types of commercial activities. "Unfortunately, we identify facts of changing the profile of children's recreation organisations. According to the results of inspections to date, several camps do not work or have been converted into commercial facilities. Such cases should not be allowed. Children's holidays are under the control of the governor and the Legislative Assembly of the region," said Aleksandr Ruppel.

The Ministry of Recreation toget her with the Ministry of Labour monitored such non-functioning children's recreation organisations in Sochi, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Temriuk, Krymsk, Tuapse and Ust-Labinsk districts.
