Krasnodar, 11 September – Yug Times. The repair of federal highways will begin in Sochi in September.
In the first month of autumn, the Federal Road Administration ‘Chernomorie’ will proceed to the final stage of repair of a section of the federal highway A-149 ‘Adler – Krasnaya Poliana’.
Since September 9, the road department resumed repair works on the section with the organisation of a reverse traffic scheme. The works include partial replacement of the base and layers of the road dressing, restoration of the culvert pipes and water-regulation structures, barrier and guardrail fencing, repair of the pavements and road marking.
The works are planned to be completed by 1 November.
On 14 September, the replacement of the road carpet on the federal highway A-148 ‘Kurortny Avenue Doubler’ will begin.
According to the Mayor's Office press service, this is the most popular and busiest inner-city motorway and such works are a regularly necessary measure to maintain proper operating characteristics. According to ‘Chernomorie’ Road Administration, the works will be carried out mainly at night with narrowing of the traffic on short sections down to one lane, without reversing the traffic. All works on A-148 are planned to be completed by 10 November this year.
