Krasnodar, 11 August – Yug Times. Seventy film projects have reportedly received financial support in Krasnodar Krai over the past six years.
Since 2021, Krasnodar Krai has been operating a scheme reimbursing part of the costs incurred by producers shooting films in the region. Film companies can receive reimbursement of up to 30% of eligible expenses actually incurred and supported by documentation. The maximum subsidy available for one film is 12 million roubles.
Over the six years of the scheme, 70 film projects have received more than 250 million roubles in total support. The subsidised productions have also generated additional benefits for the regional economy. Around 650 local contractors—including sole traders, self-employed individuals, companies, and natural persons—have been involved in film production during this period.
In 2026, 26 applications from 22 film companies were submitted for the latest round of funding. The total expenditure declared by applicants amounted to 753.8 million roubles. Seventeen film projects were selected, and three applicants have already received subsidies to talling 17.7 million roubles.
