Krasnodar, 17 July – Yug Times. Residents of Krasnodar Krai have reportedly selected 50 parks and public gardens to be redeveloped in 2027.

The projects will be carried out under the regional Creating a Comfortable Urban Environment programme, part of the national Infrastructure for Life project. The results were announced at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission chaired by Governor Veniamin Kondratiev.

The sixth nationwide vote to select public spaces for redevelopment concluded in mid-June, attracting more than 740,000 participants from across the region's municipalities. Fifty public spaces were chosen for improvement.

Over the six years of the program's implementation, 1,564 public spaces have been upgraded across Krasnodar Krai, with almost 22 billion roubles invested.

"This year we are due to complete improvements to 124 parks and public gardens. The main construction work must be finished by 1 September, and the greening should be completed by 1 November," Kondratyev said. A total of 3.6 billion roubles has been allocated to the regional programme this year, with 22 municipalities taking part.
