Krasnodar, 7 July – Yug Times. Head of the Republic of Adygea Murat Kumpilov has visited Mezdakh Park Belt to inspect progress on the third stage of its redevelopment.
He was accompanied by representatives of the republican government, relevant ministries and the Maikop City Administration. The project is being implemented in phases as part of the all-Russian Competition for the Best Urban Environment Improvement Projects. The first two stages saw the creation of an entrance area, pedestrian and cycle paths, children's and sports playgrounds, viewing platforms, lighting, CCTV systems, benches, and other landscaping features.
The third stage will link all the completed sections into a single recreational space. Its main feature will be a themed area dedicated to the history and culture of Adygea. Plans include the creation of a Narts [epic heroes-giants] Alley featuring bronze sculptures of heroes from the Adyghe epic, art installations, and new walking and cycling routes.
