Krasnodar, 17 June – Yug Times. The statistics were published by the National Bureau of Credit Histories. According to the bureau’s data, the highest number of consumer loans issued in the regions of the Russian Federation in May was recorded in Moscow (125,500), the Moscow Region (106,600), the Krasnodar Region (82,500), as well as in the Tyumen Region (including the Khanty-Mansi and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrugs) (68,400) and the Sverdlovsk Region (67,700).
At the same time, the most significant growth compared with the previous month was recorded in the Khabarovsk Krai (+11.7%), the Moscow Region (+11.0%), as well as the Kras nodar (+10.9%), Primorsky (+10.3%) and Zabaykalsky (+10.1%) Krais.
- Despite some growth in the first months of 2026, consumer lending, on the whole, remains at a fairly low level. It should be noted that in May 2026, 1.5 times fewer consumer loans (2 million) were issued than in May 2024 (3 million). The decline in lending between 2024 and 2026 was linked both to a cooling of demand for loans and to a deterioration in the quality of the incoming flow of applicants. - commented Alexey Volkov, Marketing Director at NBKI.
